What had to happen, happened

We may have said to some of you that this trip was also for us the opportunity to foresee new life plans. We were always attracted by the idea of starting an experience abroad together, we just had to know where first!

We liked Toulouse but this city has always seemed a bit too small for us. We needed bigger, more exuberant, perhaps too. Arriving in Vietnam was a shock ! The abundance and cosmopolitan aspect of Hanoï immediately seduced us. This city is truly sensational, in every sense of the word. We will give you a deeper description soon,  don’t worry.

And what about the world trip?

Well, we put it on hold. We have a small vacation planned in early May in the Philippines with friends, but it will be just to party together, as we used to Toulouse! We keep our desire to cross the Pacific Ocean in mind, we will resume later, after this new adventure.

The train is on rails

Everything happened really quickly. We will not spread too much because it’s still quite new but an opportunity arose, and as always since the beginning of our trip, we have jumped on it! In a few words, but without saying too much, we are going to leave our old trades aside and launch into something completely different. We will take over the management of a two-wheeled tour agency in the northern half of the country. Our recent experiences driving in Asia and our entrepreneurial know-how with Western sauce combined with Vietnamese energy seduced the owner. We will give details later on, do not panic!

Already settled

We needed a cozy nest here, and Hanoi is full of really cool places to pack. Following the advice of our friend Julien, expatriate for over a year here, we chose an apartment in a fairly quiet area of the city. The owner is super nice and we already have our favorite little restaurants close, awesome. All modern commodities, what a change after all the passable hotel rooms that we have had for the last three months. We already feel good about it and it’s really the most important when you start a project like this, to feel at home.

That’s it, you know as much as us or almost on this new trip. Feel free to come and say hello to Hanoi in the coming weeks or months!

Audrey and Ben,

April the 1st chickens who mock you and tell you fake stories from the other side of the world!

For the real post about our Vietnam adventures, you will have to wait one day or two!
