Finally ready

That’s it, the moment we have been so much waiting for has finally arrived. We are flying away today to our first stop, Thailand.

But a lot of things happened before we were able to leave peacefully…

You know us, we are rather organized. So for this past year we used a small retro-planning, call it almost military planning. Thanks to it, we assume that we have not forgotten anything before boarding. From vaccines to socks, travel insurance, administrative tasks of all kinds, we are serene.

It went a bit spicy when Audrey realized that Ben had forgotten to renew his passport 2 weeks before leaving! The little boyish looking on the  old passport’s picture could have been a clue but everything is now in order. He will only have to be irreproachable for a while to be forgiven…

We also had fun with our mates during repeated farewell parties. Having the opportunity to say goodbye to a lot of you was essential to us. We feel lucky and spoiled by your gifts. Surely we won’t forget you.

The schedule was so tight, especially the last weeks, but we managed to set everything up. The bags are ready, 12 kilos each, the exact weight that we were hoping for. Mainly clothes, travel equipment and some accessories for our comfort. Well yes, we still want to be fresh and tidy, at least a minimum. Audrey was also entitled to a special hairdressing course to take care of Ben during the trip! A big thank you to Germain for his help, she will not disappoint you, promised.

Come on, let’s go, speak to you soon from our first destination.
