Laos watercolor
Our Laotian favorites have been numerous! As much as we were mitigated on Cambodia, as much Laos will have conquered us by many aspects, magnificent and varied landscapes, delicious gastronomy, and people to be discovered little by little. Do not hesitate, go to Laos, and for the favorites, it’s down here!
4000 island- Don Khon
- Sunset at Pomelo restaurant pear – to enjoy a beautiful sunset, and swim in the Mekong alone far from everyone.
- Tomkham Samxoke restaurant – or should we say our canteen, for the kindness of this family and the delicious dishes that are always served with an offered lao lao !
Bolovens plateau
- Captain Hook’s coffee and katu traditions tour near Tad Lo – for this 3 hour tour that is definitly worth it.
- Tad Yuang waterfall – for the beauty of these waterfalls and take a dive so close from these falls.
- Pakse hotel rooftop – to enjoy happy hour and drink passion fruit mojitos with sunset over the city!
Thakhek region
- Thakhek-Thalang-Konglor scooter loop for our Laotian favorite! Still preserved from mass tourism, magnificent varied landscapes and for the serenity which reigns in the villages of Thalang and Konglor! Not to be missed!
Luang prabang
- Cafe Joma – for delicious croissants if France seems far away. And for the good action because 10% of profits are donated to charities.
- TAEC museum – to understand the customs of different ethnic groups of LAOS.
- Utopia bar – The ultimate bar for chilling!
- Kuang Si waterfalls – for the beauty of these waterfalls which certainly are touristy but are nonetheless magnificent! For once, we do not recommend to go on a scooter, because it is more expensive and without much interest! Use the tuk tuk very early in the morning (price to be negotiated of course!)
